Symptoms of Sickle Cell Anemia include:
Most of these symptoms are caused by the sickle red blood cells' inability to carry oxygen. This makes the human body deficient in oxygen, which in turn creates these symptoms. These symptoms are the most common symptoms of sickle cell disease, however there are many other side effects of the disease. (see more effects) If you have these symptoms, it may be a sign that you have sickle cell disease. A simple blood test can diagnose this disease.
